A&S Visual Identity

The College of Arts and Sciences is represented by three approved identifiers: the logo (seal), the nameplate, and the wordmark. We encourage all departments, institutes, centers, research groups, and other divisions of the College of Arts and Sciences to use these identifiers appropriately.

Guidelines for using these identifiers have been developed by the Office of Educational Technology (eTech) and the Office of College Relations and Development, and we encourage you to contact us with questions. Email sent to as.visualid@ua.edu will reach personnel in both offices, and the person best able to address your question will respond.

Regardless of context, it is essential that you identify your unit — whether a department, a special program, or something else — as part of The University of Alabama. The University has specific guidelines regarding the appearance of the name of the University and its units, so consult the University’s visual identity guide (http://visualid.ua.edu/) for details about using UA nameplates and wordmarks.
